Not really my cup of tea but it made for a quick read.
It’s a cliche romance book with all your typical (read predictable not necessarily bad) storylines. The plot is mostly about how hot these two find each other, very light on the murder mystery element. Also lots of setting up for the rest of the series by meeting the siblings and establishing the town which slows the book down. Fine overall however, I cannot forgive the epilogue! SPOILERS AHEAD:
Seriously she gets pregnant 2 months after a major gut wound?? And then proceeds to get pregnant ONE MONTH after having her first child. This was just so unrealistic and ridiculous that I just about had to close the book and walk away.
Spice: 3.5/5 🌶️
