Fantastic read! This is the first book written by Kerri Maniscalco that I read and I absolutely loved every single thing about it; it had a little bit of everything (historical fiction, romance, mystery, suspense).
This story takes place in the late 1880 in London. We read about Audrey Rose who isn't your typical teenage girl; instead, she is interested in forensic science. Against her father's approval, she studies at her uncle's laboratory where he meets Thomas, a student/intern at Audrey's uncle laboratory. Meanwhile, a string of horrendous murders are occurring in the town. The story continues as we see Audrey Rose and Thomas trying to solve this murders and uncover the serial killer.
The ending of this story gives us a small glimpse to the next book, which I can't wait to start reading.
Keep in mind that the author gives very detailed (graphic) descriptions of the murders.
