4.5

  • I like this book more than Six of Crows since im already familiar with the world at this point, which was a part of why i found it difficult to get into the 1st book.
  • Everything about the 1st books still pretty much applies here, great world building, enjoyable plotline, so and so.
  • I do enjoy the build up way more than the ending, it was potentially 4.75 but then some things just didn't really worked for me.
  • Still hates the fact that they are 17/18 year olds, no teens can pull all these tricks off, even in a fictional world. I don't think it would cause the story any harm if they were to be 24 and above.
Spoiler Why did they kill of one of the main cast? ;) I understand the death is for the reality hit, they felt invincible yet they are not type of thing. But in my opinion, the build up and resolve of it happened way too quickly. There wasn't a proper grief moment, the funeral also barely happened and overall just left me feeling like there is something missing, which in turn distracted me from the actual ending.
