Debut author Jaylee Feild delivers a sweet and kinky MM novella. I’m highkey annoyed we didn’t get more interactions with Wendell and Emerald or at least just Wendell he’s so freaking lovable. I think the one thing that was missing was an explanation of why Wendell went about the situation the way he did. I legit want to know if Emerald would have considered the proposition under other circumstances. I think their conversation at the end would have been the perfect time for it and it would have solidifying the emotional exchange. Giving it more depth. This was hot and a touch dark. I love the young buck being the Dom in the dynamic but it was the switch energy that makes this a treat.
