Gluttony Bay by Matt Wallace

3.0

This particularly clever series is now approaching the end game and the novella now kind of moves away from the cuteness and cleverness to stacking the decks for the finale. Given incidents of the previous book, there are bound to be repercussions and it is incredibly serious for our bunch of chefs. Stakes escalate as they discover what Gluttony Bay is all along.

This novella structure falters a bit here with a lot of action crammed into a short space so much so that it looks like nothing major. There are character arc, reconciliations, redemptions, heroic sacrifices and obviously, a revenge to set up the final book but it just feels a bit too rushed in this format
