Helpless by Barbara Gowdy

4.0

Quite a good novel. Props to Gowdy for the effort put in to try and make Ron a sympathetic character. My heart, however, has no room for any sympathy for a kidnapper, even a fictional one. The rest of her characters were incredibly well written and engaging, even the very minor ones like Angie, the beauty store owner.
I'll definitely pick up more of Gowdy's books in the future.
