don’t understand how people say this is “the boring book” in the series. that last scenes with the events all blurring together in pip’s mind after stanley’s death immediately negates any point anybody tries to make by saying that.
though i kind of feel like stanley wasn’t the best character to do that whole plot with but i understand that introducing a new character might have been weird (and make the twist more predictable). his arc and backstory was also well constructed imo, though maybe the whole serial killer dad thing could have been foreshadowed earlier.
Graphic: Death, Emotional abuse, Toxic relationship, Grief, and Murder
Moderate: Child abuse, Child death, Gun violence, and Blood
Minor: Drug use, Rape, Terminal illness, Kidnapping, and Injury/Injury detail
