The Casquette Girls by Alys Arden

3.0

Ohh I don't know how I feel about this book. Part of me is like. YEAH fantastic the other part is a bit wtf? What happened? Nothing is fully explained, its like the author has so many ideas of how to take this book, these characters and not sure where to go. I enjoyed this book. I did but I was feeling so frustrated and bored most of the way through.

Little tidbits would tease me and then drop it high and dry.

I have to say the scene and world building is fantastic in this book. I could imagine most parts in my head based on description alone, however some parts felt too developed and it was too hard to picture (that doesn't make sense) what was going on. It was a little too try hard.

I enjoyed this whole different take on witches although what really annoyed me is the lack of knowledge. The original witches for the coven didn't know anything and neither did these witches!

Also what happened with the count? Nothing is resolved there. I think something should have at least resolved slightly for us to understand what was going on.
