Season of Migration to the North by Tayeb Salih

4.0

This tells the story of a man who returns to his village to find a new face, Mustafa Sa'eed. Not much known about this newcomer until one night, Mustafa choose our narrator to become his listening ear about his past. The narrator and Mustafa shared a lot in common and in many ways, him listening to Mustafa's story is also his introspective look on his own life.

Apparently for better understanding it is best to read Conrad's Heart of Darkness first then this one. Maybe I should and then I could re-read this.
