Dreamin' Sun Vol. 2 by Ichigo Takano

5.0

Ahahahahaha! This manga is SO adorable and never fails to make me laugh out loud <3

Okay so this comes as no surprise but I love Ichigo Takano's work. Her illustrations are some of the most beautiful I have ever seen and her stories are super cute. I know Shōjo Manga isn't for everyone and some people find the stories quite slow, etc. but to me, I can't get enough of it!! Honestly, it's like a drug!

This second volume continues on from the first with Kameko vainly trying to pursue her unrequited love, Asahi. Miku (the girl who likes the landlord) takes Kameko out for a makeover since they know she wants to impress Asahi, but unfortunately, he is spending time with his unrequited love, Manami. Despite this, there are lots of laugh out loud moments, especially when Fujiwara and Zen are present - gotta love those guys!

On meeting Manami and learning that she really does love Asahi, Kameko decides to take a step back and lets him go as she knows his heart already belongs to another, which is a selfless and pretty mature thing to do so full respect to her.

Elsewhere, Fujiwara gets Zen to admit that he does have feelings for Kameko and endeavours to help him confess his feelings to her. (I'm pretty sure this is going to be YET another case of unrequited love as I'm pretty sure Kameko doesn't feel the same way).

BUT...is it just me or do I detect a bit of chemistry between Kameko and Fujiwara (the landlord). Fujiwara is my favourite male character and during those last few scenes...hmmm...I'm thinking there could be a possible romance. I sure hope so!! :D
