Something is Killing the Children, Vol. 2 by James Tynion IV

5.0

I probably should have written my review for this volume before moving on to the next. I'm sure that I will mix a few things together in my head, not being sure where one ends and the other begins. That's alright, though.

Tyrion reveals more of the greater world of this story in this volume. We are still focussed on the small town from the first volume, but become much more aware that there is more going on beyond its confines. The organization of monster hunters, the Order of St. George (love that, really), is pretty freaky. I like the idea of monstrous things protecting us from monsters. It becomes hard to tell which is worse in the long run--the monsters or our protectors.

Volume three is amazing as well--on to four!
