Originally 4.75⭐️ but after my re read I put it as 3.75⭐️. Okay so this was okayish. Honestly I don’t really know how to feel about this book. Some positives(?) first: I liked the magic aspect of the book and the origin of it including the descriptions of how Hannah’s magic influenced her experience with the world around her. The romance sub-plot was also cute. But, what wasn't cute was the majority of Veronica's character. Like, I get wanting to get back with someone who you claim to love, but basically stalking and trying to emotionally manipulate them and forcibly kissing them is not it. And although I do admit that she goes through some messed up stuff, that isn't really an excuse. Finally fuck Benson and his fucking family.
Graphic: Death, Physical abuse, Violence, Blood, Grief, Car accident, Death of parent, and Fire/Fire injury
Moderate: Animal death, Torture, and Murder
Minor: Toxic relationship
