The world, the characters, the story and writing - everything was perfect. The author did an amazing job of creating a story where we get to watch Deka grow and learn, expand and find hope and purpose. It was a truly heart breaking story at times with dark things the girls had to go through, but the heart was also there all along. The love the characters share and the beautiful world building made this book one of the best I’ve read this year.
