Rescuing Macie by Susan Stoker

5.0

Mercedes “Macie” Laughlin has to get out of her comfort zone. Colton “Colt” Robinson works with Macie’s brother Truck. You can read this book first without feeling as if something is missing. But after you finish, and you find you want to know more about Truck you’ll want to grab a copy of Rescuing Mary.

One thing that impressed me is that Macie isn’t a picture perfect woman. She has issues and Colt doesn’t seem to mind. He is able to see past what she what feels could be a relationship ender. He is willing to put in the time to building something meaningful. That was enough to grab my attention but our author takes it a step further by adding in some suspense. I was so hooked on this story that I got it done in one day.

I have a little bit of catching up to do in the series but just like this book you could consider each book as a standalone. The same can be said for the 1001 Dark Nights series. Our author also did another book in that particular series titled Rescuing Sadie. I’ve loved this author’s work for a while and look forward to finding out about her other characters. It’s also a good way for me to catch up on a book that I may have missed. Trouble is she let me know, when I got to the end of Macie and Colt’s story, that she has a new series out. I think I’ll be busy for the foreseeable future.

I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
