Baltimore, Vol. 5: The Apostle and the Witch of Harju by Mike Mignola, Peter Bergting, Christopher Golden, Ben Stenbeck

3.25

This volume's halves both serve the same purposes:

  1. Introduce a new member to Lord Baltimore's monster-fighting ensemble. These members each have a gimmick and are stock characters for the genre.
  2. Explore a villain whose personal tragedy distorted their take on religion. "The Witch of Harju" works better for this than "The Apostle", but it's 50% versus 25%.

The gap between my reading of volumes four and five may have taken the air out of this one.
