Oh how I devoured this book. I waited to read it until I had the second one because I wanted to believe what people said about it being so good. They were right.
It takes a few chapters to get into as there is a lot of information you need to digest (world building) but after that I was hooked. The story line was far better than I had thought and the more I read the more immersed I became. Plus, how can you go wrong with a guy like Roman?!?
He made me swoon and wish I had a guy like him. He and Iris and wonderful together and I cannot wait to see what happens.
My biggest suggestion: don’t let this be a cliffhanger. Have that second book on hand!
For my usual warnings. There was not a lot of cussing. I don’t even remember one f bomb and the spice level was like a 🌶️. I would totally let my daughter read it (might have her skip a page but it’s not detailed just written like a summary of simplicity that leaves the rest to your imagination)
