This book is such a heartbreaking reflection of reality for Indigenous women. It deals with a lot of really heavy topics, but I believe it should be a required reading if not on a high school level, then definitely on a college one, not only for the topics it deals with but also the beautiful way the author captures the different intersectionalities of her characters. It is eye opening on many levels. Additionally, the writing is wonderful, and the plot was so intriguing that once I hit the 100 page mark I couldn't put it down until I finished the rest of the book.
Graphic: Drug abuse, Drug use, and Racism
