On His Six by Patricia D. Eddy

5.0

This hero had some bad PTSD. He was able to hold a job but not his friends. The story gives you some insight into that and I'm glad I saw it so that I could understand where he was coming from.

The heroine of the story was pretty awesome in that she stayed strong, even when she was down and crying - as strange as that sounds. She had to deal with a lot in a short amount of time and I liked how she overcame her own demons.

The romance was slow and steamy because the hero was reluctant to think he was attractive enough to get someone like the heroine. What I liked most was how she quickly put out the fires of his insecurity - even though her own mind was hitting her pretty hard with all kinds of anxiety.

Great story.
