Nesta is top 5 characters in this series. She has the best character arc out of anyone because it's believable. I wasn't the biggest fan of the first 3.5 book (ACOMAF is the best one in that sequence) but this is the best one out them all.
Nesta's whole world gets tuned upside down and she's coping in the best way she can. She's trying to get back a sense of freedom and the ability to choose. Her struggles with trauma pre and post being made is beautifully handled.
Cassian is the Himbo Fae we all needed. He's the only one that understands that Nesta isn't going to get over what has happened in 5.2 seconds. He opens up about how long it takes him to cope with his own trauma but makes it clear he is there for her.
