Good Bones by Maggie Smith

emotional reflective slow-paced

4.0

Despite parenthood being a major theme of this collection and me not being a parent, I really enjoyed this poetry collection. The style of poetry kind of reminded me of Mary Oliver, and I just really connected with the theme of trying to live in a world that seems broken. Favorite poems included: Sky, At Your Age I Wore A Darkness, Past, Let's Not Begin, Size Equals Distance, Good Bones, and Rain, New Year's Eve.
