I wish there was a half star setting so I could give this 3.5 stars. Full disclosure I have watched the tv series before I started reading this book. I found it a bit slow at first because there is a lot of world building at first but as the story gets going, it becomes very well paced. I found the world created by Margaret Atwood scary and all too possible. I feel her work is timeless in that the way that the people in power subjugate those without it is the same in every century. I think even in current times we've seen reproductive rights controlled by people other than women. Its a book everyone should read and learn from.
