Read the abbreviated advertisement manga. Decided I wanted to see how it ends, so I picked up the light novel from the beginning. It's interesting how the tone managed to shift from its predominantly silly comedic tone to something possibly more serious toward the end. That or I'm reading too much into it.

Halfway through the story, we'll see how volume two wraps things up.
