So many interesting ideas, but not enough of them fully developed and explored. Ambitious author, I gotta give him that credit.
Didn't care for the clipped sentences and the minimum of descriptions. Characters were not even remotely fleshed out. Not a lot of participation of female characters. The half of the story in the military hospital was a drag on the pacing. In the other half, perhaps too much time getting to the desert, not enough time exploring the desert. End of the story had no hope of wrapping up such large, ambitious, interesting ideas.
