The Heart Broke In by James Meek

3.0

I enjoyed this book enough, but ultimately there were too many subplots and so many characters so that it was hard to know who to focus on. I think this was trying very hard to be a Richard Powers novel, but did not quite pull it off. The act that brought everyone down in the end wasn't serious enough to be believable, so the ending was unsatisfying. The writing was good, but the overall structure didn't work.
