Chasing the Moon by A. Lee Martinez
4.0
It's hard not to like an A. Lee Martinez book. The characters are always unique, the storylines are far from copy and paste, and you're always going to get transported somewhere else. I've read several of his books, but this one is far and above my favorite. One, I found Diana very relatable. It's not often that characters are thrust into an extremely bizarre situation and their reaction to it is actually believable. Two, I fell in love with every one of Diana's monsters! They were so unique and I loved so much of their dialogue. There were a few times I laughed out loud reading their lines. The only part of this book I didn't enjoy very much was the second POV, Calvin's. There was too much of it and I felt that it was the rare low-point in the book. All in all, I wish all of this authors books could be turned into a movie or a t.v. show, just to see if it could even be done!
