I read somewhere that this the story that got "Frank Castle his balls back."

Totally agreed.
After dreadful attempt to push Frank into flashier, pulpier supernatural storylines, Ennis brough him back to original premise:



Welcome back, Frank is pure Ennis- dark humor, not pulling punches heroes and crazy plot works perfectly for Punisher which is why his stories are the best in run.
This is also a great place to start for those who are thinking about giving Frank a chance- continuity isn't problem with Punisher and portrayal of Frank here is the most genuine, imho.

Definitely one of my favorites.
