Healing a Highlander's Heart by Keira Montclair

3.0

Was hoping for more 'oomph'

I liked the story overall but a few things kind of killed it for me. It seemed too saccharinely sweet in places, and while the Heroine, Brenna had strong characteristics (she was my favorite), the Hero-not so much. I can't put my finger on it but I just didn't feel he was that strong of a character.

I liked the added kids in the story but it was just a tad too much. The little girl's words and actions seemed a bit too mature for her age.

I have to agree with one reviewer who said it's more of a romantic story, but not so much the usual Scottish/Highland book.

And the last part-the 'whodunnit' part-wasn't really satisfactory to me. It sort of fell apart for me then. Sadly, too much was 'just ok' for it to become a keeper for me.
