When You Get the Chance by Emma Lord

4.0

This was cute and fun! It was also personally a little difficult as a mother of a Millie myself, who is a college bound theatre major in the Fall. (The whole reinvention of self every so often and the moods. Yeah. That's very much my life.) It made it really easy to relate to the adults in this book. :) I must say that the adult drama was definitely toned down some in this compared to Lord's other books. It was still super complicated, but they all behaved like adults about it, which was super refreshing. I loved all the secondary characters as well. Of course, Millie herself I was super protective of because I have a living, breathing version of her in my house I'm super protective of.
