Romanov was a pretty intense book. I am familiar with the life story of Anastasia, and I would say that this book was a good retelling of it (with a magical twist). Now, I am not big on magic and spell type books so this one was on the borderline of what I am comfortable with in my reading. The book also contains themes such as grief and forgiveness. It explores what it means to love selflessly. Overall, I was interested in how Brandes tied the ending together. I listened to this on audiobook.
