Heart's Insanity by Ellie Masters

4.0

Ellie Masters is an author who is new to me and I truly enjoyed this story. This story could have been dark and depressing, but it wasn't. The writing was great and the story was heart-wrenching. The story deals with some trauma in Skye's past and it was handled very well. The ending felt a bit rushed to me, but I was so happy for the HEA, I was able to get past that... (it did take a star off though). The narrator has a very sweet and pleasing voice, but I thought she sounded a little young for the character. I also think a male narrator in addition to Amanda would have added a boost to this story. The story was nicely paced with a nice flow. I'm interested to read the next book in the series.
