Demon, Volume 2 by Jason Shiga

3.0

Somewhat of a drop off from the first volume for several reasons. The beginning of the book appears to take us in a more traditional direction, plot-wise. The end of the book takes a left turn that isn't a full surprise, but still made me question the purpose of everything that came before. And the center of the book was confusing enough that I needed to read it twice to parse the action sequences.

Mind you, I'm not stopping reading the series (this is clearly one of Shiga's more fascinating works), but I am somewhat concerned about the overall direction.
