There was a stretch of these in the middle of the series that seemed stale, but this one and the one before have been excellent.
The mystery didn't feature as much as I normally like, but the characters are being developed more and more. Usually I don't like that, but these characters have stayed compelling so my normal complaints don't seem to apply.
