Archer & Armstrong Volume 6: American Wasteland by Fred Van Lente
4.0
While the other humor book in the Valiant Universe, [b:Quantum and Woody, Volume 1: The World's Worst Superhero Team|18430804|Quantum and Woody, Volume 1 The World's Worst Superhero Team|James Asmus|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1388424625l/18430804._SY75_.jpg|26072682] thuds its head against the wall with pop culture references in a desperate attempt at humor, this book manages to make an overabundance of media references an actually fun read.
In this volume, we see the duo deal with a hotel full of famous dead people, and a dangerous cult led by a celebrity that we've been led to believe is dead (no, not Elvis, but he's here, too).
It flirts with being Too Much, and then goes So Far over the line of Too Much that it comes back around to being fun again.
If you like your super adventures to be silly but engrossing, this is the book for you.
