The Masked City by Genevieve Cogman

3.0

Entertaining, fun popcorn. It's a rampaging story that starts rolling down hill, never slows down and finishes like a bull in a China shop. It's fun. It's quite a bit of fun. But do not think hard about any one part of it. It is better written than "oh what should happen next? Oh my god that would be cool!" It's better than that but the plotting could be tightened up a bit.

Or maybe it's... No not really a unreliable narrator but maybe our heroine is being written a bit as a character that thinks they are the righteous, loyal hero but it slightly more grey/neutral than that.
