I enjoyed this book's concept but it left me wanting a lot more. There were many descriptions of the scenery that I wished were replaced with information about the characters or story itself. Learning that it had originally been based on a play made the writing style and direct but detached emotional content make a lot more sense. I did enjoy it overall, but I don't think I will continue the series anytime soon.
