House of Correction by Nicci French

5.0

If one's looking for a mystery, that should swallow them for a fortnight, this is it. Though the book is long, only at the end I realised its speed. Moreover, the length is justified by the plot, which is undeniably fenomenal and exceptional. I never felt stable on the portagonist's side, and in the end, the reader is meant to do that, as the protagonist neither feels a solid base under her legs.

It's a book that will change you, House of Correction shows you that there's always a needle in a hay.
