The Bride Was a Boy by Chii

3.0

The chibi-style just isn’t my thing, but it was interesting reading about another culture’s rules on gender and sexuality! Also since I’d recently read Redefining Realness, I recognized Thailand! I’d never known Thailand’s gender transition healthcare was so reputable. I guess it’s not quite a coincidence if that’s the case, but it did surprise me (surprise isn’t quite the word but it’s all I can come up with for now) to see it spoken of in two books written by two women from very different cultures, continents, and backgrounds.
