I learned a great deal about the diversity of Native American tribes and the beauty of their mythological tradition. The tragedy of the loss of so many tribes and their cultures is truly overwhelming when considering this book hardly scratches the surface of Native American traditions, despite this book’s size. Having no previous knowledge of Native mythology, this book was a great place to start to get a small, general understanding.
