The Winter's Tale by William Shakespeare

3.0

By finishing "The Winter's Tale" I finished my personal bard-a-thon to read all of Shakespeare's plays aloud. It took me two years and two weeks to finish my challenge - an epic quest as my friend Patty termed it. And it was well worth the commitment.

I did not, however, enjoy Winter's Tale nearly as much as some other plays. It seems sort of like Othello light but with no proper antagonist like Iago to justify the plot. I wasn't enamored with the language and only really found my way into the story at the beginning of Act V. While not a favorite play, I am glad that I included it in my read.
