Gaddafi's Harem: The Story of a Young Woman and the Abuses of Power in Libya by Annick Cojean, Marjolijn De Jager

4.0

This is hard to rate. I don't know that I can honestly say I *really liked* this book, as the stars suggest. But it is a powerful and important book, so I can't in good conscience rate it lower. This whole book was really hard to read. It's well written, that's not the problem. But it's such a blunt, unflinching account of such horrible violence and abuse. And every word of it is the truth.
