Gentle and Lowly: The Heart of Christ for Sinners and Sufferers by Dane C. Ortlund

I like to start my book reviews with outstanding quotes, but there are too many to narrow it down to just a couple of favorites. This book has helped me to better understand the character of Jesus’s heart. Ortlund took concepts that unfortunately can become ~dull~ (like the reality of the freaking gospel on my life), and offered a new perspective that made me fall madly in love all over again. Please read this book if you are interested in understanding God’s heart towards you as a believer. I just finished it and I already want to start it over again.
