The Good Samaritan by John Marrs

4.0

The Good Samaritan is a novel about manipulation, revenge, and deception. I’ve never read a book like this. I enjoyed the plot so much! It’s disturbing, creative, and twisty. Marrs writes with so much tension and the perfect pacing.

The characters are well-developed and fascinating. Laura, the MC, is completely deranged. I liked her character (psychopath and all.) It was so entertaining watching her spiral in and out of control. I enjoyed Ryan. It was easy to sympathize with him. I was rooting for him the whole time.

My only complaint is the ending. I liked it, but it wasn’t that shocking! Nonetheless, I highly recommend it. However, if suicide is a trigger for you, I wouldn’t read this novel.
