All that this book has proven to me is that people of all ages, from all walks of life, and of different times have made poor choices in the wilderness that have cost them their lives. It’s harrowing and depressing, but it’s also incredibly important to remember that no matter how experienced you are (or aren’t) there’s a small space for mistakes and the outcome can be gruesome.
