This was good but painful. The first like 25% or so was super sweet. I loved Levi's parents meeting Dominic (his parents are so cute. Both their families are perfect, really) and
Spoilersaying "I love you," for the first time, and all of that. But as soon as Dominic relapsed I could just feel everything start to spiral for the rest of the book, and it was ROUGH. And that scene where Dominic tries to hurt Levi so he'll leave because he has to go back and do more gambling!!! And in the end when he's gambling again and Levi punches him. LOTS OF ANGST, although I'm looking forward to them reconciling, so I imagine it'll be worth it in the end. I also liked seeing Levi possibly going to get real therapy (although I'm suspicious because tbh I've suspected Natasha of being the killer since the first book, which could be way off base, but nothing that's happened has dissuaded me of this theory yet). And I liked seeing Dominic relapse (as painful as it may have been) because it felt realistic that being put in a situation like that would have him faltering.
