The Scarlet Plague by Jack London

4.0

While this genre of books is different from London's usual writing style, I think he did it very well. His tone was perfect, and his characters were interesting. I liked how he used the framing tool of an old man telling his grandkids the story of how the scarlet plague destroyed civilization. The kids asking questions and being skeptical of his story while he was telling it really helped with the worldbuilding.
