The first 75% of the book was really boring and nothing happened. It took me months to want to pick it up and finish it. At the 75% mark, I finished the rest of the book in one sitting. If only the whole book had the same action, pacing and Raffe! I'm pretty sure the downfall was that

Raffe was missing for the majority of the book. Penryn just isn't as great alone.
