Read for a bookclub. 
I enjoyed it but also I'm still so puzzled by it. 
I liked the commentary on society expectation and sexism.. 


and ultimately I think at the end I was glad Keiko went back to what felt right to her, be a convenient store worker. 
Shihara is a menace though. no symathy for him;/
