This book was phenomenal. Very seldom do I know within the first chapter that I'm going to love a book through and through, but the setup of the story was so rich and grasping. It displayed brand new characters with so much history and I attribute that to great writing and storytelling skills. As expected, I did not get bored reading this. It was a long, long haul I will say but it was excellent regardless.
I only have a couple things that irritated me and brought my ratings down a tad. One was the amount of eye rolls, especially from Brooke. It was excessive and I feel like that's an editing issue. It actually distracted and irritated me. The other was some repetitions of words, but it wasn't as distracting. Despite those things, this is a five star read for sure and I will be recommending it and of course continuing to read more from Haley Cass!
