The Burning Room by Michael Connelly

3.0

Average Bosch story. A number of years back, I couldn't get enough of Michael Connelly but things took a bit of a nosedive after Mickey Haller came along and I gave his books a break. Coming back to Connelly via this book 10 years on, I can't remember what all the fuss was about.

The stories are well-told, fast-moving and page-turners but there's no depth to them. It's like watching an episode of CSI - straightforward story-telling, taking you straight from A to B.

Don't think I'll bother with any others.
