Mika is a lonely witch who has never found anywhere to set down roots. She gets a mysterious message one day with very few details, and decides to see what it is about.

She meets Ian, Ken, Lucie, Jaime, and the three young witches. The adults are hoping that Mika is able to teach the girls about controlling their powers.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started this book but it has a little bit of everything - fantasy, romance, mystery. It also has both a grumpy/sunshine relationship as well as found family.

Spoiler I was not expecting a big twist in this sort of book so the reveal about Lillian and Lillian/Primrose was shocking.

The story also wrapped up enough I don’t expect a sequel, but there are enough loose ends that there could be a second story. I would read a sequel.
